I received the PhD degree in the department of Computer Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) (Belgium) in 2015. In 2010, I received with honors (grade magna cum laude) my master degree from the same university. During my PhD thesis, I was a teaching assistant and a student doing research as part of a Machine Learning Group (MLG) and the Cryptography and Security Service (QualSec). The supervisors of my thesis were Professor Gianluca Bontempi and Professor Olivier Markowitch. During the first year of my PhD thesis I co-founded the DPA Lab, the laboratory for research into side channel attacks and countermeasures based at the ULB.
In 2015-2018, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the QualSec Group (in collaboration with the Crypto Group of the Université catholique de Louvain and with Worldline) working on authenticated encryption.
In 2018-2021, I worked at Thales Communications Belgium as a Security Engineer. Since 2018, I'm a scientific collaborator at the QualSec group. Since 2019, I teach the course "Protocols, cryptanalyse and mathematical cryptology" at the ULB. Since 2020, I'm a scientific collaborator with the "Centre de recherche en Optique, Photonique, Electromagnétisme, Radiocommunication et Acoustique" of the Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles. Since 2021, I work at SWIFT as a Security Management Specialist.
Research interest: physical security & machine learning.
